A Summer to Remember at Muskoka Woods

As the sun sets on another incredible summer at Muskoka Woods, we are bursting with gratitude and excitement to share just how much your generosity has meant to us and the hundreds of young lives you’ve touched. Your contributions have transformed the lives of over 450 youth, families, and staff members, making this summer an unforgettable experience filled with laughter, growth, and cherished memories.

Your support has allowed us to continue our mission of providing life-changing summer camp experiences to young people from all walks of life. This year, your contributions played an indispensable role in making this dream a reality. Here’s a snapshot of the impact you’ve made:

120 Guests Integrated into Camp Through Mackenzie’s Hope, Canadian Heroes, and the Neil Lovatt Memorial Fund: Thanks to your generosity, we were able to welcome 120 incredible guests into the Muskoka Woods family. These programs empower young individuals and families facing unique challenges to embrace adventure, build lasting friendships, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

220+ Guests Were Welcomed Through Timbergrove Lodge: Timbergrove Lodge welcomed over 220 guests this summer, providing a safe and nurturing environment where they could discover their full potential, try new activities, and experience personal growth in the great outdoors.

50+ Staff Bursaries Were Awarded Through the Jamie Groves Bursary Fund: Your support extended to our dedicated staff members, many of whom received scholarships through the Jamie Groves Bursary Fund. These bursaries enable us to attract and retain top-notch talent who are committed to enriching the lives of our guests.

60 Kids Were Supported by the Exceptionality Crew and 3 Families Through Jan’s Place: Your contributions allowed us to create inclusive and supportive environments for 60 exceptional kids through the Exceptionality Crew program. Additionally, three families had the opportunity to experience a week at Muskoka Woods through the Jan’s Place program, creating unforgettable memories together.

We’d also like to share the heartfelt words of some of our youth leaders, who witnessed firsthand the incredible transformations that took place this summer:

“It was amazing to see these kids have such an incredible opportunity. They were challenged and rose to meet those challenges. They had a chance to get away from so many challenges at home to experience God’s love and His creation. They were given a chance to hear and experience the Kingdom of Heaven, many for the first time. For others, it was a practical reminder of God’s goodness, in a world with so much darkness.”

“We got home on Friday night to lots of tears as kids said their goodbyes to the group. Each of them is coming home changed β€” some knowing they matter a little more than they thought, some having their fears and humiliating experiences normalized and treated with incredible care, some having learned how to manage life in a chaotic family of 24. But each one changed.”

Your support has made these incredible stories of growth, empowerment, and transformation possible. We are profoundly grateful for your commitment to Muskoka Woods and the countless young lives you’ve impacted. Together, we are creating a brighter future for our youth.
